It is with great pleasure and excitement that the Administration, Faculty and Staff welcome you to Holmes Elementary School, “Home of the Baby Bulls.”  I am honored to be the new Principal at the school named for Reverend William Patrick Holmes.  The mission of the Holmes Elementary School staff and community is to provide students with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve personal and academic success. Furthermore, as the new Principal it is my belief that all students can learn. I will continue to strive for academic excellence as the school moves to a higher level. At Holmes Elementary, the faculty and staff believe it is our responsibility to ensure that our instructional program is focused on meeting the diverse needs of our students and all the challenges of a changing society.  We expect to accomplish this by fostering a teaching and learning environment that focuses on high expectations, while eliminating low performance and by providing an effective curriculum that encourages our students to reach their full potential. The vision of Holmes Elementary is to prepare our students to become productive individuals in today's society and provide them with skills that will empower them to lead successful lives. This includes a philosophy that strives to have primary children reading on grade level by grade one and to create a culture of reading within the school and throughout the community. Additionally, we want to empower parents to take charge of their children’s education. Therefore, I am looking forward to working together with parents, community members, administration, faculty, staff and students so we may celebrate our mutual success at the end of the school year.  Thank you,Frank V.
